My name is Rick Heaton, I am committed to making the Owner Builder experience a great one by providing education, information and assistance to owner builders across Australia.
I have been in the building industry since I left school 33 years ago, I am a licensed builder and a licensed plumber/drainer/gasfitter.
For the last 15 years or so, I have been developing courses and systems for use in the building industry, and I am proud of what I have to offer Owner Builders.
Once you buy one of our courses, you become part of our owner building community and have free access to web forums, project management resources and safety management resources, all available from this website.
This website is full of useful information, some of it available to the general public and some of it only available to our owner builder students. General Safety Induction Training for Owner Builders
Abacus Training is pleased to announce we can now offer CPCCOHS1001A
Work Safely in the Construction Industry.
This is the Nationally accredited course that meets the requirements of General Safety Induction Training for the building and construction industries.
Our course is offered to our Owner Builder students at the reduced rate of $70.00
and is presented in the same way as our owner builder online course.
Within the next couple of weeks, we will be able to offer our owner builders their 'White Card' following completion of the course.
